Christ Rules

Rushdoony AI Project

Imagine having R.J. Rushdoony sitting beside you giving you his thoughts about whatever you are reading on your browser or on your phone. Now that would be cool; the best tutor in the world mentoring you and counseling you as you sought God's kingdom and fought the devil and his minions. And now, thanks to modern technology, we can make it happen.

Who is this Rushdoony guy anyway? To answer that we have to go back a ways. Armenia, a small nation in Asia Minor, was the first one to adopt Christianity in the year of our Lord 200, and also successfully maintain it to this day. They built a culture and engendered a people that seriously implemented Biblical Law. A royal priesthood (that is what 'rushdoony' means) led this nation and Armenia eventually served as a buffer to protect Byzantium from the Muslim hordes. Out of this pressurized situation a hearty people were instilled with discipline and internal fortitude, and, together with carefully chosen marriage partners, their royal priesthood produced R.J. Rushdoony. He, in turn, became a student of Cornelius Van Til, himself a product of a people under constant threat from the North Sea, competing naval powers, and Roman Catholic hordes.

Saved from Sin to Obedience

Together they answered the evil they saw coming in the guise of philosophers like Rousseau, de Sade, and Marx, who were bent on wreaking havoc upon the world, unknowingly implementing God's Word, to wit, "Overturn, overturn, overturn it; and it shall be no more, until He comes whose right it is; and I will give it Him," - Ezekiel 21:27 speaking of Christ of course. The answer Van Til and Rushdoony formulated: to build a foundation for the next stage of Christendom upon sanctification, on obedience to Christ's LawWord for all those who are saved by His grace through faith alone. And this is what you find at http://www.pocketcollege.com and in the library of books authored by Dr. Rushdoony (yes, he had 3 doctorates) that you will find at http://www.chalcedon.edu.

An Elephant is a Lot of Meat

By listening to a lesson a day, 6 days a week, it would only take you 7 years or so to get through them all. The books might take less or more time depending on what type of reader you are. So yes, that is a lot of meat to chew through. But how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. And this is where the Rushdoony AI (Algorithmic Intelligence) Project comes in.

Thanks to previous support we have a 12-15 million Rushdoony spoken word archive to work with (see http://www.pocketcollege.com/transcripts) and with modern computers and smartphones it is a small matter of programming to create a virtual Rushdoony that is always at the ready to give you the best perspective, just the right comment, the exact defense of Scripture, the best teaching of Biblical Law, and the right refutation of every error and obfuscation any heretic has ever come up with, all in bite sized pieces conveniently and appropriately presented in a context people already use.

This project would require substantial funding in the six figure range. If you are moved to support this project please contact us.
